The Long-Beam Opto board has an infrared transmitter and a 40khz-tuned infrared receiver. When combined with an intelligent controller like the P³-ROC, these boards can be used to detect the presence of objects in open channels.

Note, each board has an emitter and detector, but you’ll need two boards to implement a long-beam opto switch (one on each side of your feature).

Connector Pinout:
1) 3.3v Power
2) RX (should connect to a burst RX pin on the P³-ROC)
3) TX (sent from a P³-ROC burst TX pin)
4) Ground
