Learn karate and play pinball at the same time. Young Martial Artist was created by Neil Wilson as an homage to 1980s martial arts movies and 1990s solid state pinball machines. It is provided as a free download for all P3 owners with the Heist playfield module.

Install Young Martial Artist via System Manager either over Wi-Fi on network-connected P3‘s or by first downloading the package from your Multimorphic software download page. Note – only accounts with at least one registered P3 will see available downloads.

Young Martial Artist is a karate-themed game for the Heist playfield module. Help a youth improve their skills through a variety of training modes and advance their belt ranking. Earn a black belt to qualify for a karate tournament, and then celebrate your accomplishment with a Victory Laps multiball.

Game Features

  • Six training modes allow you to practice a variety of techniques:
    • Circular blocks: Shoot the orbits, inner loop, and side loop.
    • Vertical blocks: Shoot the ramps.
    • Side blocks: Hit the side targets and slingshots.
    • Balance: Hit corresponding pairs of shots on opposite sides of the playfield.
    • Punches: Rip the spinner. The more spins from a single hit, the more powerful the punch.
    • Kicks: Bash the crane.

  • Completing a training mode advances your belt ranking. Start with a white belt and work your way up through yellow, orange, green, purple, brown, and black belts.

  • Complete three training modes to earn a green belt and unlock a “Break Bricks” mini-wizard mode, which is a three-ball multiball where you can rack up points by bricking shots off of standup targets.

  • Complete all six training modes to earn a black belt and qualify for a tournament lasting up to four rounds:
    • Land punches or kicks against your opponent to score a point against your opponent.
    • Block their attacks to prevent your opponent from scoring points against you.
    • If you score three points against your opponent, you win the fight and get to move on to the next round.
    • If you drain the ball, or if your opponent scores three points against you, you lose the fight and are out of the tournament.

  • If you play in at least one round of the tournament and haven’t yet drained your last ball, then you get to play a Victory Laps multiball.
    • The better you do in the tournament, the more balls in the multiball.
    • Each of the orbit, ramp, and inner loop shots will be lit for jackpots.
    • Collect all of the jackpots to light the side loop for a super jackpot, and hitting that will re-light the regular jackpots.
